Working remotely from Riebeek Kasteel
Fast internet, quiet mornings and a vineyard walk at lunchtime: the valley is a great place for a workation.

You do not need to take leave to enjoy the Riebeek Valley. More and more people combine a few working days with a weekend in the countryside, and Riebeek Kasteel is well suited to it.
The village is calm during the week. There are no queues, the cafés have space, and you can do a tasting after work without booking weeks ahead. Weekday evenings on the square are relaxed and local.
A good rhythm here: start early while it is cool, take a long lunch break with a walk or a swim, and finish with a sundowner. The light and the space do wonders for concentration. When you need a change of scene, take your laptop to one of the cafés for an hour.
Practical matters count when you work remotely. At Huis Agt, one of the stays on this site, every unit has fibre Wi-Fi, air conditioning in the bedrooms and ceiling fans. Goud, the main house, has a large open-plan living space and dining table, while Silwer and Groen are quiet, private places for one or two people.
Book a few weekdays and stay over the weekend. You will be surprised how much you get done, and how little you want to go back to the city.
